I joined LiveJournal and Flickr today (can you tell I'm on vacation?)... plunging into the brave, not-so-new world of social networking on this Interweb thingy. My hope is to stay in touch with folks I already know and perhaps meet some new ones. 

Right now I'm kinda jetlagged--got back home (NYC) last night from a very cool 5-day London vacation. A friend and I did a lot of sightseeing, some very cool (Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre), some less so (London Eye, the Lord of the Rings musical). Had a nice visit with friends as well!
